HUBS

JustPeace Hubs are collaborative spaces designed to support locally led initiatives through facilitating resource mobilisation, project support, and knowledge exchange. The first Hub has been established as a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (gGmbH) in Berlin.

It is planned to establish new Hubs in different regions with the approval of the JustPeace Alliance and in alignment with shared principles. Rather than imposing rigid standards, those involved collaborate to shape ways of working that reflect both global commitments to justice and the specific needs of each context.

STRUCTURE

All Hubs have distinct legal personalities under the laws of the country where they are registered.

They must also comply with standards developed by the Association, but they still act independently.

Hubs can undertake project fundraising and management within the broad scope of the principles of the JustPeace Association.

METHODOLOGY

CSOs, community leaders, and local knowledge holders are at the centre of defining project themes, goals, and approaches. Hubs work in solidarity with local partners and provide support where needed to ensure that processes remain context-sensitive and grounded in locally informed methodologies.

Quality is supported through context-sensitive methodologies co-developed with local partners, participatory approaches to analysis, multi-disciplinary programming, and community-led evaluation processes. JustPeace prioritises approaches that centre structural analysis, power shifts, and locally rooted forms of knowledge production.

NEW HUBS

Any member of the JustPeace Association, may propose the establishment of a new Hub.

The feasibility of new Hubs will be assessed collaboratively, with substantive input from local and regional partners, ensuring that new Hubs align with local needs, priorities, and leadership structures, while also contributing to the broader principles of the Association.

If the results are positive, JustPeace will provide support and facilitation throughout the process of establishing the new Hub, ensuring that local ownership and leadership are prioritised from the outset.
